Philippians 1:6 (NIV) ~ Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

God is a faithful God and a Promise Keeper.
He who began a good work will bring it to completion. However, God will always work when he finds a pliable heart. When we yield our lives to God, then we are like clay in the hand of the potter, and as long as we have a pliable heart, God can, and will, work through us. Furthermore, we will be easy to shape and mold into the person God sees we can be. It is only when we grow cold, and our hearts are hardened to the gentle guidance of the Holy Spirit, that we find it difficult to grow in the things of God.
I am sure there have been times when you may have wondered what is going on with your walk with the Lord, or where you are going. But be assured of this, from our text for today from Philippians 1:6 (NIV), “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” God knows what He is doing, He knows what is best for us, He who began a good work in you will finish it. Just stay on course, stay focused, keep your eyes on Jesus and keep the fire burning with a passion for the things of His Kingdom and for the lost.
My friend, may we draw comfort and strength from our text for today. God has His hand upon your life, His favor is upon you and His blessing is with you. He, who has you as the apple of His eye, as His treasured possession, will look after you. The promises which He has spoken over your live, the prophetic words and dreams which God has promised you, He will bring them to pass.
The Bible says in Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” No! Our God is a faithful God, a covenant keeping God and a God who always keeps His promise. Take heart from our text from today in Philippians 1:6 (NIV), “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
God bless you my friend, Pastor Matthew.
