Proverbs 29:25 (NIV) ~ Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.

You must liberate yourself from a mundane lifestyle and take hold of a lifestyle that is motivated by the fire and passion of the Holy Spirit to press on in God and soar to new heights. One must break through the wall of accepting and embracing a mediocre response to the will of God by not allowing people to hold you back from fulfilling your divine calling is to make a change for a better and more productive life. For the Bible says in our text for today in Proverbs 29:25 (NIV), “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.”

It takes faith to keep going, to break out and move on. You can either move with the cloud of God, or slowly die in the dessert. You can either settle for the same mundane routine day-by-day, week-by-week and year-by-year, or you can break free and move on. Change has to come in order for things to move forward. However, change is not always welcomed. Even so, a change has to come; you cannot live on yesterday’s manna. Every day whenever you get up, you need to look for fresh things from the word of God, your look for a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit for that new day.

Reformation brought about a great change, but the reformers, through whom it came, were not always popular, but without their vision and courage we would not have what we have today. They could have been thwarted at the first hurdle by those who did not share their same passion for the things of God, those who wanted to hold them back and curb their enthusiasm, those who wanted them to remain at the same spiritual level as themselves, rather than rise above the snare of just going around this mountain and never breaking out, never being liberated from the shackles of meritocracy, but they pressed on to be leaders of men.

A little change in lifestyle, a little change in your prayer time, Bible reading, worship and doing the works of Jesus, will ultimately result in a radical change of direction for your life. To be agents of change is what God has called us to be. By sharing the gospel with someone we can allow the Holy Spirit to speak to his or her heart and change his or her eternal destiny.

My friend, the fear of man can become a snare that stops you in your tracks; it can hinder your growth, health and spiritual stature. It is time to rise up, break free and move on. Leave the fear of man behind you and move in faith, hope and love, move on into new victories and new heights in God and soar high above the clouds, carried on the wind of change from the Holy Spirit.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.

  1. Matthew, Thank you so very much for sharing the word of God with us daily. I know that these devotions are God inspired. And they have helped me to climb higher in Jesus Christ.

  2. Matthew, I agree with you in the sharing of today regarding the fear. But I must say that what we fear in general is to make mistake in the public. Otherwise, when the spirit is not prepared to do something and you involved it into it, the result is generally disappointing; and that is what we avoid. But when the spirit is ready in advance, we find ourselves doing thing with zeal and passion. And I think that is what the Lord expect from us. One thing again, when you make an erroneous statement in public, it affects not only you who made it but also all those who listened to you. So to say that fear comes at time as to regulate someone, but not to hinder his faith or his longing to move high to God’s realm. Thank you
