Acts 8:5 (NIV) ~ Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there.

Jesus wants us all to be involved — God needs people to reach people:

To lead the people out Egypt He needed Moses,

To lead the people into the Promised Land He needed Joshua,

To lead the armies of Israel to victory He needed Deborah,

To show Himself strong to defeat the Goliath’s of this world He needed David,

To preserve the Jewish nation He needed Esther,

To bring the people out of Captivity He needed Daniel,

To feed the five thousand He needed a little boy,

To go down to Samaria God needed Philip,

To reach the people where you live, God needs you!

The world we can’t enter is a world we can’t win. As you are reading this, there are people where you live just now, people you come in contact with on a daily or weekly basis that I may never meet. Only you can reach them, God has chosen you to go down to the people where you live, with whatever you have in Christ Jesus, to reach them with the gospel.

The Bible says in Acts 1:8 (NIV), “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” God has not overlooked how important to the spreading of gospel you are to Him. To reach the people in your family, your neighborhood, your town, your city, your college, your school, your job, God needs you. People who say, “God can use everyone else to reach people but me,” are really egotists in reverse. God is no respecter of persons, He wants everyone to be involved, from the very young, like the little boy who gave his fish and bread which fed the five thousand, to the Caleb’s of this world, who in their 80’s still cry out to God, “Give me this mountain!”

My friend, wherever you are in your walk with God just now, God sees in you the right person for the task head. No one is overlooked. Everyone that God has called, He has equipped; He has blessed them to be a blessing. Jesus wants everyone to be in involved, because every one of us can make a difference wherever we live.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
