Psalm 115:14 (Amplified Bible), “May the Lord give you increase more and more.”

God is a God of the increase. His desire is for us to take in more and more of His presence, to grow more and more in the fruit of the Spirit, and gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” God does not want us to just be happy with what we have, but that we strive for more of God; to be in a place where we can say, “He is Lord of the increase.” Furthermore, God has given you this very precious and powerful promise from Leviticus 26:9 (NIV) I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you.

Even as we are faithful in telling people all about Jesus, may these words from the lips of the Apostle Paul be evident; 1 Corinthians 3:6 (NIV), “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.” God made it grow; God is the God of the increase.
Even when we face things that seem, in the natural, too hard to accomplish, we should believe in the word of God, we should confess it, and we should see the word of God as an overcoming, powerful force. When the early disciples came up against hard ground to sow in, the Bible says this in Acts 19:20, “Thus with might the word of the Lord increased and prevailed.”  His word is a prevailing word that will overcome anything. He is the Lord of the increase, who will overcome no matter how difficult things seem. Paul makes it clear that in spite of hardship, souls were added to the Kingdom; for so mightily grew the word of God that it prevailed. His word can, and will prevail against anything, His word will cause growth that will cause an increase to happen.

So broaden you tent pegs, extend your boundaries and enlarge your vision, for He is the Lord of the increase. When we are faithful, God will cause an increase to happen in every area of our lives. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:10 (KJV), “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”

My friend, in every area of your life, allow God to be the Lord of the increase for you. Are you seeking a harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God ? In what area of your life are you longing to grow in the Lord? What fruit of the Holy Spirit, what gifts of the Holy Spirit do you want to grow in? Do you want more and more of God? Does the longing of your heart cry out to know more of the Lord? Then let our text from Psalm 115:14, be a word that is prophetic over your life today; may you, this day, experience the blessing and favor of the Lord in your life, “May the Lord give you increase more and more,” and may He be unto you, today, “The Lord of the increase!”
God bless you my friend, Matthew.
