Luke 24:15 (NIV) As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them.

Oh the bliss of this thought, that Jesus longs to walk with you along the way. Just as Jesus opened up the Scriptures to the disciples on the Emmaus road, so He longs to open up the Scriptures to you too, so you may know Him more. Throughout life’s journey from here to glory, Jesus wants to walk and talk with you so your hearts would burn within you for the things of God.
Jesus wants to walk and talk with you every second of the day,
Jesus wants to walk with you through the road marked with suffering,
Jesus wants to walk with you through the pain and sorrow,
Jesus wants to walk with you in times blessing and prosperity,
Jesus wants to walk with you in the times of rejoicing and gladness.
There is a song written by C.Austin Miles in March of 1912, called, ‘In the Garden.’ There is one verse in the song, that really sticks out for me and is relevant to our text for today. It is these beautiful words:
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
My friend, what a glorious thought it is to have, what a glorious truth there is to discover, that Jesus Christ is walking with you every day. He calls you His own and talks with you along the way. And if you take the time to listen, He will open up the Scriptures to you, so you may know Him more. Then your heart will burn within you for a deeper hunger for the things of God and a passion for His name.
God bless you my friend, Matthew.
