Ephesians 2: 4 to 5 ~ (NIV) But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

What an amazing verse to remind us that because of His great love for us He made us alive. Love gives life. In one of the daily newspapers, on Wednesday, 19th September 2007, a story was printed. To me, it stood out, because ‘Love gives life’. The headline read, ‘Saved by a Cuddle’.  Here is that story:  Baby Rachel Elliot arrived an amazing 16 weeks early, but was saved by a cuddle. Medics told the mum, Carolyn, her 1.7 pound child had only twenty minutes to live after she was born at just 24 weeks. They handed her gently to Carolyn to say goodbye, but the instant she touched her, the baby gasped for life.

His love changes everything, His love gives life. When you are touched by that loving embrace of Jesus, He gives you Life. The Bible says from our text for today in Ephesians 2: 4 to 5 (NIV), But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. There is no one too far gone that the love of God cannot reach. His love changes everything. There is no one too far dead in their sin that God cannot touch and bring new life to them.

There a beautiful song by Michael Ball from the musical Aspects of Love, with these beautiful lyrics:

Yes love, love changes everything,

Now I tremble at your name.

Nothing in the world will ever be the same.

My friend, the pure and powerful love of Jesus brings you Life, and His love changes everything. When you we are touched by the love of God you can never be the same again. Let the loving arms of Jesus embrace you, let Him wrap His arms of love around you to touch you and make you whole.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
