Psalm 100:3 (NIV) ~ Know that the LORD is God. It is he, who made us, and we are his, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

We are His people; we belong to Him and are the sheep of His pasture. His pasture is green and fresh, in His pasture you find security, in His pasture you find peace and rest for your souls. He gently leads you beside quiet water and restores your soul. It is only when you truly find a place of safely that you lie down and rest in peace.

The Good Shepherd leads you to the best pasture for your life. He leads you to a place where you are fed, a place of refreshing, restoration, reconciliation, a place of blessing, victory and power.

The powerful wording of “we are His”, meaning we belong to Jesus, is awesome and full of eternal value and life changing direction. For once, you truly know that you belong to Jesus, you have an overwhelming sense of acceptance, forgiveness and being part of God’s family and all that it brings you as a joint-heir in Christ Jesus, of the manifestation of His glory, riches, wisdom and power.

Here is a defining, penny dropping, revelation moment of the awesomeness of the love of God towards you. He made you; you are His, His people the sheep of His pasture. Notice how many times God is stressing this point, “I love you, you belong to me, let me take care of you.”

My friend, may our text for today liberate your from any doubt, whatsoever, of God’s great love for you. You are accepted in the beloved, you are loved with an everlasting love. The Good Shepherd Jesus only wants what is best for you life; He wants to bring you to fresh pasture beside quiet waters, resting in His perfect peace. His pasture is one where you are safe, and even if you walk through the shadow of death He will be right there beside you. A shadow has no power to touch you or to frighten and intimidate you when His Light surrounds you; no shadow can live in His magnificent Light. He will prepare a table for you filled with His bread, His provision, His healing and blessing. All your enemy can do is look on as you feast upon the goodness of the LORD. He will always lead you on from one victory to another, for He goes before you and goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and you will dwell in His house forever as the sheep of His pasture.

God bless you my friend, Matthew
