Mark 4:32 NIV) ~ Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.

Within this verse is hidden a precious gem just waiting to be discovered. First, a seed is planted then, it grows and becomes. When the word of God is planted within your heart, when you water it daily with the word of God and when you take time to help it to grow, it will become bigger than all that you could muster.

Last week, as I was walking down a street, I noticed that the pavement had cracks in it and that ridges had appeared. It was the root system from a tree which was planted nearby. Through time, a little seed so small was planted on good soil and I’m certain that no one ever thought it would grow so big, as to push up the concrete pavement.

As you spend time in God’s word and as you spend time watering His seed within you, it will become bigger and it will outgrow anything which stands up against God’s best for your life.

Become bigger on the inside and outgrow your surroundings. Outgrow your circumstances, outgrow your earthly limitations. Let His word within you grow and become bigger than all, let it grow bigger, stronger; bigger than all your shortcomings. The higher they build their walls, the taller you will become. As you let the seed of the word of God grow within you, you will become a mighty cedar for the Kingdom of God.

As you grow into what God has for you and you become what He sees you can become. You become a mighty man or a mighty women of God, who branches out and breaks through any concrete barriers which the enemy would put on top of you to try to stop you from growing.

My friend, allow this gem of a verse to encourage you, let it build you up in the most holy faith. Grow in grace and grow in stature and in the favour of God as you water, by faith, the seed of God’s word within you and become all that you can be in God.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
