Malachi 4:2 (NIV) ~ And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.

Have you ever watched a young calf in a field? They are so full of life – new life that is exciting, pure and unburdened with the cares of life. The word of God describes the people of God – those who fear His name – as being released from the stall into a fresh field of blessings, full of excitement and energy, raring to go! You leap like a calf released from the stall.

There on the ground lays your heavy coat of disappointment and broken dreams, there on the ground lays your coat which was once as white as snow, but now is covered with stains. You leap from the stall, having been given a new start, and your old life is shed away from you. The weight of your past sins is taken way and you leap from the stall with joy!

Jesus paid all, all to Him I owe,

Sin had left a crimson stain,

He washed it white as snow.

My friend, in Jesus we can have a new beginning with all heaviness of sin and all the stains of sin taken away. We can be released from condemnation, guilt and fear. We can be released from the stall into a new field of blessings. Oh, what joy there is to be found in Jesus when He releases you from the stall – you leap like new calves full of joy, full of excitement, into a whole new world.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
