Mark 3:14 (NIV), “He appointed twelve—designating them apostles —that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach.”

This is a tremendous verse to encourage you with today, “…That they might be with Him.” Here Jesus not only calls you to be with Him, but He gives you a heavenly purpose in life to do the will of the Father and produce fruit for the kingdom of God. Your purpose in life is to be with Jesus, to spend time with Him, to learn from Him, to be set apart to serve Him, to be commissioned to preach the gospel and to be sent out filled with the fire and power of the Holy Spirit.

It is a marvellous thought to know that you are called to be with Jesus, to have an intimate one-to-one relationship with Him, to spend time with Him, and from spending time in His presence you will always have something to give to the world. Jesus wants you to move in His power and authority, to do His works, and see the Kingdom of God established through a mighty manifestation of the glory of God here on the earth. Jesus is calling you to be with Him, to spend time with Him, and to learn from Him. The Bible says in John 15:16 (NIV) You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last.

My friend, Jesus is calling you to be with Him, to be filled with the Holy Spirit to preach in the power of His Name, to move in His authority, to see miracles happen, to see the lost saved and to see backsliders return unto Him. You have a high heavenly calling, anointed and appointed by the LORD, filled with a Divine purpose, chosen by the Lord to be with Him and then to go out and preach the gospel and see fruit grow for the glory of God.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
