Matthew 7:11 (NIV) ~ How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him.

How much more is a question without an end, one which goes on and on without limit, because just when you think you have been given the best, God, in extravagant grace, gives you even more and, then some. The lush generosity of God knows no limits. One of the precious gifts of God is the gift of the Holy Spirit, as the Bibles says in Luke 11:13 (NIV), “How much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

How much more, shall God bless you beyond your imaginations? He will open the floodgates of heaven as He has promised and pour upon your life such a wealth of blessing that you will not have enough room to contain it all.

How much more does your heavenly Father want to give you good gifts, which will enrich your life both spiritually and materially? So that you soul will prosper and you will enjoy good health through Christ Jesus as well, your storeroom will have much more than you will ever need because of the blessing of the Lord.

Many years ago, I heard the story for a very poor minister in the late 1800s. He had a heart to reach the lost, not just in words but also, more importantly, in action. Someone once said, “Love is not a feeling, it’s an act of your will.” Also, love is not just in what you say, it’s also in what you do. A rich man, one day, wanted to bless a this minister by the giving of one hundred pounds. However, in those days that was a very large amount of money, to send in one go. So the rich man sent it week by week with a note, “And more to follow,” until he had sent the hundred pounds. Every week the heart of the minister was overjoyed as he read the note, “And more to follow.”

There is a wonderful unfolding of God’s word as you learn that God is your real EL-SHADDAI; He is your God who is more than enough, with more to follow. He is your JEHOVAH – JIREH, the Lord who will provide, with more to follow.

My friend, may our text for today from Matthew 7:11 (NIV), “How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Uplift, encourage and bless you today as you know afresh the overwhelming, extravagant grace of God who wants to bless you with not just gifts, but good gifts, to those who asks.

God bless you my friend, Matthew
