A voice of one can change a whole nation. The question is what are you doing with the voice God has given you, or have you lost your voice? Has your voice lost its power, or do your words fall to the ground rather than speak life into situations? The Bible says in 1 Samuel 3:19 (NIV), “The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.”
In the film, The King’s Speech (2010), Colin Firth, who plays King George VI says, “I have a voice.” When the nation needed to hear their king speak with authority, to give hope and leadership, the king spoke up and inspired them.
When your nation needs to hear the words of the King of kings speaking with authority to give hope, to inspire them and give them Divine leadership, God wants to use your voice, just as He used the voice of John the Baptist who said, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”
My friend, there is coming a time when a voice of one will be calling, with all the authority and power that heaven can muster, it is a voice which will cause everyone to take notice and listen, it is a voice which will speak into the hearts of men and women everywhere. It is a voice which will speak to convict and challenge those who listen to change their ways and follow Jesus Christ, to make a way in their hearts for Him. Our text for today says Isaiah 40:3 (NIV), “A voice of one calling: ‘In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.’” Today, God is calling you to be the voice of one who speaks the words of God, to speak the words of your King and declare with power, “Prepare the way for Lord, for salvation is here.” Rise up this day and say, “I have a voice, therefore, I will declare the goodness of the Lord and be His witness and speak up for my God.” You have a voice, so speak His words with all the authority of heaven and let your voice for God be heard.
God bless you my friend, Matthew
