Hosea 11:10 (NIV) ~ They will follow the LORD; he will roar like a lion.

The Bible says of Jesus in Revelation 5:5 (NIV), “The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.” The Lion can symbolize strength, Kingship, majestic presence, powerful and one who is filled with great great boldness. The Bible says in Proverbs 28:1 (NIV) that we have the words of wisdom and exhortation, “The righteous are as bold as a lion.”

The Lion will wear his mane like a King wears his crown. At the roar of the lion those who hear it, who are his foes, tremble, but those who come under his protection are safe within His pride, his family. There is nothing more distinctive than the sound of the roar of a lion. The Bibles says in Revelation 10:3 (NIV), “And he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion.” His roar announces that something is going to happen. His roar is unlike that of the enemy who masquerades as lion to induce fear and intimidation, which brings bondage and slavery to the shackles of sin, and roars about seeking who he may devour. On contrast to his roar, your King is Lion of the tribe of Judah when He roars, His roar brings liberty, freedom from sin and victory. And those who belong to the Lion of the tribe of Judah need not fear their majestic King, their mighty is the head of the family of God.

Jesus Christ is the Lion with the heart of a Lamb and the Lamb with the heart of the Lion. He can make the most timid of his little lambs roar with the might of His power. The heart and voice the “roar” of your Lion, your King, lives in you. In Him every day you grow in boldness, great strength and courage knowing that your King is roaring you on to victory.

My friend, when your Lion of the tribe of Judah roars, you will follow. He will lead you from one victory to another, from one fresh pasture to another. With all reverent respect, Jesus is your Lion King, roaring with a commanding call filled with authority and power through you, which makes the knees of the enemy tremble.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
