Revelation 3:8 (NIV) ~ See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.

God has an open door for you, one which no one can close. His door is open to the sinner and saint alike. His door is open for you to receive a warm welcome. His door is one for you to enter. His door is open for you to walk in and find rest. His door is open, for within His house is everything you will ever need. His door is open just for you.

Imagine, if you will, a front door, a gate as it were. The door is the only way to get into the house; you must come through the front door, for there is no other way that a man can enter in. Within the house there is a place of safety, a place of healing, a place of wholeness, a place of pardon, a place of peace and a place of power. Just as you walk through the front door something miraculous happens, as you walk through it, all your filthy rags are turned into royal robes. Instantly you are made new and washed clean. Going through the open door means you will always have the Master listening to your prayers.

Jesus Christ is God’s front door. He is the only way to God and when you enter into His house He makes all things new for you, you are washed, cleansed, given royal robes and clothed in His righteousness. The Master of this house is God and He loves you, and loves to listen to your prayers, and not just listen to them, but He delights to answer them.

It is an open to door to the throne room of God where grace, love and mercy are found. His door is open for you to have unlimited access, while it is still open. But once it is closed, no matter how hard you try, the arm of flesh can never open it again. For the Bible says in Luke 13:25 (Darby), “From the time that the master of the house shall have risen up and shall have shut the door, and ye shall begin to stand without and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he answering shall say to you, I know you not whence ye are.”

My friend, before you stands an open door, one which no man can shut. However, one day when God’s plan has reached its fulfilment, He will close the door. When the door is shut, on which side of the door will you be found? Within His house is all you will ever need for this life and for the eternal life. Enter in while there is still time for you to enjoy the benefits of God’s open door before it is time to close the door.

God bless you my friend, Matthew
