1 Corinthians 1:23 (KJV) ~ But we preach Christ crucified.

1 Corinthians 1:23 (KJV) ~ But we preach Christ crucified.

Here the Apostle Paul nails it, he cuts through the chase and proclaims his message without any shadow of a doubt letting the reader and listener, alike, know and understand the title, the theme and subject that he boldly proclaims:  “Christ crucified.” He then goes on to say in 2 Timothy 2:8 (NIV),Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel.” Christ is his gospel, nothing else will do. You must preach Christ. He is your beginning, your middle and your end.

Preach Christ crucified and raised from the dead, for this is your gospel. This gospel is the power of God unto salvation. For there is no other message, no other name by which men can be saved, except through Jesus Christ.

Preach Christ! Jesus Christ the Messiah, the One who Heals, the One who is your Saviour, the One who baptises you in the Holy Spirit and your coming King. Preach Christ!

Preach Christ! For His precious blood can wash away every stain of sin and make you whole.

Preach Christ! For by His stripes you are healed.

Preach Christ! For only through and by Him can you see the Father.

Preach Christ! For only through and by Him can you receive forgiveness of sins.

Preach Christ! The message of the gospel is all about Him and for His glory.

Preach Christ crucified on the cross of Calvary for the sins of the world,

Preach Christ crucified on the cross as the Lamb of God who died on your behalf.

Preach Christ crucified on the cross to reconcile you to God.

Preach Christ crucified and Christ risen again victoriously.

Preach Christ and let your message be full of the fire and power of the Holy Spirit.

Preach Christ, for as the Apostle Paul declares, “It is the power of God unto salvation.”

My friend, you may try to tickle the ears of those who listen with clever words and nice persuasive illustrations, but it is far better to preach Christ, crucified and raised from the dead, with a demonstration of the Holy Spirit’s power. You are a custodian of the truth, a powerful witness of His amazing grace, and as you preach Christ and lift Him high God will draw all men unto Him.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
