Numbers 10:13 (KJV) ~ And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

When you first become a Christian you begin on the Path of Life in Jesus Christ. Life from then on in is a beautiful spiritual journey of faith. To be on a journey is to travel in a certain direction. A wise old prophet once said, “A road is for a journey not destination.”

Unlike the song, “Road to Nowhere”, by the Talking Heads from 1985, we know where we’ve been and know where we are going. We are on the road that leads to great journeys of faith, filled with great adventures in God. The journey is one that is always filled with joy. There can be sorrow, moments of loneliness and hardships, but as you travel on your journey of faith, and keep going on, He with strengthen you as you keep on the King’s highway.

In the words of the old gospel song,

To be like Jesus, to be like Jesus, all I want is to be like Him,

All through lives journey from here to glory, all I want is to be like Him.

There is no better way to begin your journey than to be led by the hand of the LORD. When you take that step to fulfil His commandment to go in His name, know that He will be with you every step of the way. It is also very interesting to note that the Hebrew word for journey is derek meaning a way, a path, to have a direction to travel, a way of life and a mission.

My friend, every one of us are on one journey or another, the outcome all depends on which Way you choose to follow, or which Path you choose to travel on. When you walk with the LORD on your journey of faith, you are fulfilling your command from God; you are entering into your mission and exchanging your way of life for His Way of Life. As you go on your journey of faith in God may every day be a new adventure with great victories and many years of blessings to come.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
