Matthew 28:6 (NKJV) ” He is not here; for He is risen”.

Matthew 28:6 (NKJV) “ He is not here; for He is risen”.

He is risen!

When the followers of Jesus went to the tomb expecting to see the body of Jesus, still in it. They saw an angel who said to them, “He is not here; for He has risen! Now go and tell”.

Go and tell the world that Jesus has risen from the dead! That there is hope. Because of His death and His triumphal resurrection from the dead, sinners can be saved. The doors of heaven are open. So now a number that no man can count, can sing “we have been redeemed”.

Stuart Townend wrote this beautiful song about the Resurrection, with wonderful power packed words;

See, what a morning, gloriously bright,

With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light,

As the angels announce, “Christ is risen!”

See God’s salvation plan, Wrought in love,

Borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man, For He lives:

Christ is risen from the dead!

My friend, the Bible says in Matthew 28:8 (NIV)” Filled with joy they ran to tell his disciples”. May we share the good news with the same joy and enthusiasm, filled with a joy that the world cannot take away because, He is risen! Let us declare to the world, “He (Jesus Christ) is risen!” Hallelujah!

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
