Psalm 19:14 (NIV) May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 19:14 (NIV) May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

In 1978 ‘Boney M’ had a hit single with the song, “By the rivers of Babylon.” The song was written by Brent Dowe, Trevor McNaughton. Within the song are these spiritual truths, straight from the word of God. Here are those wonderful Scriptural lyrics:

Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts;
Be acceptable in thy sight here tonight.

From Psalm 19:7 to 9 (NIV)

1=The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul.

2=The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

3=The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.

4=The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

5=The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.

6=The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.

David, then goes on to say in verse 11, “by them are your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

When you meditate on these pure wholesome and powerful life-changing words from the Lord, they will keep you where you should be in the Lord. It will enable you to mature in the things of His Kingdom and be more positive in your application of the gospel. Not only do you meditate on them but also you must always confess them. So what is coming from your mouths is pure wholesome and powerful. If you meditate on and confess God’s word, and apply them into your every day life. Then in doing so, you do not have time to mediate on other things, which are of no profit to you, nor are they wholesome to God.

May your life be promoted, compelled and driving by the love of God. If your heart is in line with God’s word, if your mouth is confessing His promises in faith and you have total confidence in God, then your Kingdom actions will be the most natural steps to walk in.

My friend, God has blessed you with His word. May those might powerful seeds of the word of God take root in your heart, and grow within you into might cedars of faith. May you take these magnificent, majestic and dynamic truths of God’s word and work them into every part of your life. Just as the Bible says in Matthew 13:33 (NIV) The Kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough. May you take these truths of God and work them daily into every aspect of our life. Sometimes it may not be easy, but if you keep on working them into our life, you will keep them. Therefore in doing so, you will bring glory to God and one day will receive your great reward.

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
