Isaiah 40:28 (NIV), “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary.”

Isaiah 40:28 (NIV), “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary.”

Our God is the everlasting God! The Bible says in James 1:17 (KJV), “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” In Roman times, long before the invention of the wristwatch, many people would tell the time from a Sundial. Now when it was noonday, the sun was at the peak of its power. This illustration is so wonderfully captured and brought alive in this, “…the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” There is no shadow of turning with God, He is always at the peak of His power, He is the everlasting God, with everlasting power to save, heal, deliver and bless.

The Bible says in Isaiah 40:29 to 31(NIV), “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

When things that we have depended upon in the flesh fail us, and when we have been let down, we can turn to the everlasting God, who will always be there for us, to help us, to be with us and carry us when we need Him too. He will never fail us, nor will He ever let us down; He is the everlasting God.

My friend, He is the everlasting God. To me, this name of God describes His faithfulness, His eternal durability, and His awesome greatness. What an almighty God He is, for He is the everlasting God!

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
