Keep paddling upstream for God.

Keep paddling upstream for God.

It takes courage in this day and age to be a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ. When everyone wants you to just to go with the flow. To be a Christian you first of all have to repent, that means a complete turn around and to start walking the other way, away from a life of sin and to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

In doing so you are paddling upstream, against the strong currents of unbelief and criticism-all because you made that decision to follow Jesus.

At times people will try and get you to stop following Jesus. At times you can feel that the waves of discouragement and disappointment are crashing against you.

Keep paddling upstream.  God bless you my friend, Matthew.

Even when your friends are saying to you,” You don’t have to be so heavenly minded”. You just keep your eyes on Jesus; just keep paddling upstream for God.

It takes something to keep going and not give in. When your arms are weary because you feel you’re resisting and battling against the enemy. Let the Lord strengthen you, with each row of the paddle of faith-you are saying to the world, “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord ”

So my friend hold fast to the paddle of faith, keep going on for God, keep going upstream, upward and onward to the shores of heaven.

But don’t give up! Grab the paddle of faith and keep paddling upstream. When things get tough remember those words of encouragement from the Lord. I am your strength, your shield, and your very great reward. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
