Revelation 3:8 (NIV) ~ See I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.

Revelation 3:8 (NIV) ~ See I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.

God opens a door that no man can shut, for what God has planned for your life He will bring to pass. Someone once said to me, “Matthew, what is for you will not go by you, if God has planned something for your life He will bring it to pass.” No demon in hell, no will of man, can ever close a door that God opens for you.

An open door indicates a threshold, stepping over into something new, a calling of God that man cannot derail, for the calling of God is irrevocable as the Bible says in Romans 11:29 (NIV), “For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” God has, in you, the right man or woman for the ministry for which He has called you into.

God is a God of plan, of purpose and of promise. Notice how strong this statement is from the LORD as He makes His purpose very clear with the opening words of our text for today in Revelation 3:8 (NIV), “See I have placed before you an open door. “See I have….” He then goes on to tell you what He has done for you, and at the end of the sentence He puts an emphasis on the fact that no one can counteract His will for your life. The Bible says in Philippians 1:6 (NIV), “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” He who began a good work in you will continue to do so. God wants you to go forward, to take that step of faith over the threshold into something new.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 16:9 (NIV), “Because a great door for effective work has opened to me.” An open door is one full of new opportunities to share the gospel. Then, when Paul went to Colosse, he asked everyone to pray and ask God to open a door for evangelism (Colossians 4:3 NIV), “And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ.”

What comfort and joy our text for today brings when you ask God to open a door for you in whatever situation you have been praying for and hear these words spoken over you from Revelation 3:8 (NIV), “See I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”

My friend, He who opens a door for you does so because He loves you. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NIV), “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.” What God has planned for your life is amazing! Keep going forward, keep pressing in and enter into a beginning for your life. Let our text for today strengthen and encourage you to believe in God’s promise for your life from Revelation 3:8 (NIV),’See I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”

God bless you my friend, Matthew.
