Hebrews 4:15 (KJV) ~ For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities.
We do not have someone who is not touched by our weakness, not touched by our sorrow, someone who has never felt our pain, but we have Jesus, our great High Priest, who was tempted in every way yet, was without sin, so that during our times of trails and temptations He will enables us to rise above and be victorious over them all.
Jesus has felt our pain; He has walked before us in every emotional feeling imaginable. He has experienced every wound possible. He was rejected, He was despised, He was betrayed, He was cast out, He was mocked, He was falsely accused and He was overwhelmed with sorrow. Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus and on another occasion He was moved with compassion. He is touched by our sorrows and He feels our pain. Jesus has walked the lonely path of pain and walked in the valley of affliction, He has gone through horrendous feelings of neglect and the feelings of abandonment.
Can you identify with anything that Jesus has gone through? Do any of the experiences that Jesus endured sound familiar to you? He has gone through it all, He has been touched by your pain, and He who has been touched by your pain knows how best to minister to you, to help you and strengthen you when you need it the most.
The Bible says in Psalm 55:22 (NIV), “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.” Cast your sorrows, your pain and all your hurts upon the Lord. Bring them all to Jesus: your wounded hearts, your shattered dreams, your deep and painful scars, and let the Lord heal you. Let the Healing Balm of Gilead pour His healing love over every part of your life and set you free from the suffering and pain. You do not have to live with the feelings of guilt, it has been taken away, and in Jesus there is no condemnation, only forgiveness and freedom.
Bring Him thy sorrows, bring Him thy tears,
Bring him thy heartaches, bring Him thy fears,
Go tell Him plainly just how you feel,
Jesus will pardon, Jesus will heal.
My friend, Jesus has been there! He knows what you are going through. Moreover, He can help and He will heal. Therefore, come unto Him and lay your troubles at His feet, cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you. He who is touched by our infirmities, our weaknesses and our broken lives can lift you up and give you His strength to rise up and be healed in the name of Jesus! He is the healer of broken hearts and the restorer of relationships. If you are tempted, He will provide a way where you can gain the victory over sin and stand up under it, victoriously in His name. He who is touched by our infirmities and pain is the only One who can truly help and heal you in His name.
God bless you my friend, Matthew.
