Song of Solomon 1:15 (NIV), “How beautiful you are, my darling”.
My Jesus, oh, how I love you. My heart yearns for more of you. Your name is like perfume poured out. Jesus my darling, lover of my heart, to live without You is to live without air, for you are the air that I breathe. I am desperate for more of you.
How beautiful you are My Saviour.
Lost in wonder, lost in love, lost in praise forevermore, because Jesus, amazing love, I am forgiven, I am restored.
Isn’t He beautiful? Beautiful isn’t He?
Prince of Peace, Son God, isn’t He?
Isn’t He wonderful? Wonderful, isn’t He?
Counselor, Almighty God, isn’t He, isn’t He?
Jesus, when I awake, my heart beats within me, to tell you that I love you. How right it is to adore you. With every beat of my heart and every breath that I take, I am so thankful to you for your love for me. My eyes are forever looking towards you, for to me there is none like you. I could search for all eternity long and find there is none like you. You are my heart’s desire, the fairest among ten thousand.
My thoughts are always towards you, thoughts of how to please you, how to serve you, how to honour you. My lips are full of the praises of your name. As I lay on my pillow at night, the last thing I look at before I close my eyes to sleep, are your loving words written to me from the Bible.
When I read your love letters to me, my heart melts, my whole body sighs with tender affections for you. When I read your letters to me, your love letters from heaven, my heart burns within me with a passion for you. I love that intimacy with you; you are my all in all. Oh, how beautiful you are, my darling. In Spanish I call out to you, “Jesus Te amo.”
My friend, do you know Him, my beautiful one, my darling Jesus Christ, lover of my soul? Is Jesus to you just “someone” who is a figure from history? Or, is He just a reason for a season? Or, at worse a name you use as a swear word?
My beautiful one, my darling Jesus, is much more than that. He is the Saviour, the Messiah. It is amazing, is it not, that this man, Jesus Christ loves you and I so much so, that He died on a cross that we may have an intimate relationship with Him, that in Him we have new life with heaven as our home.
Will you, today, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? Will you let Him become real to you in a more meaningful way, so that you can say to Him, “My Lord, my Saviour, my Messiah, how beautiful you are, my darling?”
God bless you my friend, Matthew.
