Psalm 103:2 (KJV) Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
Has the society the we live in, taught us to be so ungrateful for all that we have been given? Have we become so self-absorbed, that we no longer take the time to thank God for all His benefits towards us? It is so easy, is it not, to live such a busy life-style and not take the time to say, “Thank you Lord, for all that you have done for me.”
There is an old gospel song that I have often sung to the Lord. It goes like this:
Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. Thank you, Lord, for making me whole;
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me Thy great salvation so rich and free.
If I were to start counting my blessings from the Lord one by one, for His grace, His love, His mercy, salvation, His provision, His healing, and all the answers to prayer that the Lord has given, I would not be able to name them all, for they are countless in number!
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings; name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Count your blessings; name them one by one,
Count your blessings see what God hath done!
My friend, we have so much to be thankful to the Lord for. Today let us take the time to thank the Lord for all His blessing in our lives. Psalm 103:2 (KJV), “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits”.
God bless you my friend, Matthew.
